    Context

    Digital transformation programme in non-life insurance, within the programme management team: moving documents off paper and improving the way they flow.

    My role

    • Analysis of the existing processes and documentation practices, identifying the friction points and the openings for digitalisation
    • Definition of the functional needs around managing and circulating digital documents, with the business teams
    • Structuring and prioritising the functional subjects, followed end to end: analysis, IT coordination, sign-off, go-live
    • Translation of business needs into functional material the technical teams can build from
    • Follow-up of the test phases, the go-live and the stabilisation of the solutions
    • Day-to-day coordination between the business, IT and programme management

    Context

    Migration of life insurance systems covering unit-linked and classic portfolios, bringing several external back offices into the group's IT landscape.

    Of the four tools in the programme, the business analysis I led and coordinated took two of them into production.

    My role

    • Steering the analysis work of a team of up to 7 business and functional analysts: allocating subjects, follow-up, onboarding and roll-off
    • Product Owner type role on the gap analysis scope: structuring, prioritising and following the backlog
    • Definition of the methodological frame: scope, deliverables, validation and sign-off process
    • Functional analysis on critical life insurance products: As-Is, gap identification, definition of the target processes
    • Content and quality reviews of the documentation, technical and non-technical coaching of the analysts
    • Review of the test plans, coordination of the runs, and support to the nearshore and offshore teams

    Context

    Two product initiatives run in parallel: launching a new offer for self-employed clients on a packaged solution, and migrating an existing product to a new platform.

    The product has been in production since the end of the project.

    My role

    • Business Analyst and Project Manager on the launch: coordinating the work and reporting to the steering committee
    • Analysis of the business needs and definition of the target processes (BPMN) supporting the sale of the new product
    • Leading a team of 3 analysts on the migration: underwriting, medical, pricing, product management, debit handling
    • Coordination of the analysis, configuration and validation work through to go-live
    • Preparation of the test plans, coordination and execution of the campaigns
    • Managing priorities and system changes after go-live

    Context

    Design and rollout of a bespoke management tool for bonding, in an international context covering France, Italy, Spain and the Nordics.

    The tool is in production, rolled out in Italy.

    My role

    • Functional Lead Analyst from 2020: responsible for the design of the Bond, Policy and Risk Underwriting domains
    • Translation of business requirements into detailed functional designs: BPMN processes, business rules, screens, batch processing, error handling and alerts
    • Contribution to the data model and to the screen design (UX/UI)
    • Harmonisation of products, processes and requirements across countries, allowing for local specifics
    • Facilitation of the requirement and design workshops with the stakeholders
    • Support to the nearshore and offshore development teams, review of the test plans
    • Preparation and presentation of summary analyses to support structural management decisions

    My role

    • Qualifying, prioritising and following change requests and incidents between the business and the IT teams
    • Running small change projects (up to 20 man-days), from the analysis through to go-live
    • Setting the priorities against available resources, urgency and expected deadlines
    • Steering the IT teams and the business analysts through Kanban boards
